Transfer of Treasury Shares

ARM Holdings plc ("the Company") announces that on August 7th, 2009 the following ordinary shares have been transferred from treasury stock for the purposes of employees' share scheme allotments:

41683 ordinary shares at 0.25 pence per share

30000 ordinary shares at 0.4375 pence per share

36216 ordinary shares at 0.47 pence per share

26973 ordinary shares at 0.7 pence per share

30000 ordinary shares at 0.9475 pence per share

59500 ordinary shares at 1.055 pence per share

Following the above transfers of treasury stock, the Company held 76,713,217

ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) was 1,267,342,479.
