Inchcape PLC24 May 2006 24 May 2006 INCHCAPE PLC Share re-purchase programme Inchcape plc ("the Company") announces that on 23 May 2006, it purchased 289,024ordinary shares of 25p each. The maximum price paid was 425p and the minimumprice paid was 423p The Company intends to hold these shares in treasury. Since the Company started buying back shares on 15 April 2005, it has acquired15,046,374 ordinary shares. Following the purchase of these shares the Companyholds 15,046,374 of its shares in treasury and has 465,459,468 shares in issue(excluding treasury shares).
