TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES
Amlin plc ("Amlin") announces that on 4 December 2008 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each ("ordinary shares"):
161,594 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 152.85 pence per share; and
83,450 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 161.77 pence per share
Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of 8,839,561 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 469,733,878 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
