Transfer of Treasury Shares

Spectris plc announces that on 13 December 2012, the following ordinary shareswere transferred from treasury stock for the purposes of employee share optionallotments under the Spectris Performance Share Plan:

160 shares at 5 pence per share

Following the above transfer, the total number of Spectris plc ordinary sharesin issue (excluding the total of 7,615,738 ordinary shares now held intreasury) is 117,389,385.
