Spectris plc announces that on 21 December 2012, the following ordinary shareswere transferred from treasury stock for the purposes of employee share optionallotments under the Spectris Savings Related Share Option Scheme:

Following the above transfer, the total number of Spectris plc ordinary sharesin issue (excluding the total of 7,613,129 ordinary shares now held intreasury) is 117,391,994.
