Notification of the transfer of treasury shares

In accordance with Listing Rule 12.6.4, the Company announces that on 5 August 2011, one million and twenty five thousand (1,025,000) ordinary shares of 30p each, held as treasury shares, were transferred to Appleby Trust (Jersey) Limited as trustee for the Berendsen Employee Benefit Trust, for nil consideration.

Following the above transfer, there are currently 171,815,552 ordinary shares in issues and the Company no longer holds any ordinary shares in treasury.
