HAYS PLC TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES
In accordance with the provisions of Listing Rule 12.6.4, the Board of Hays plc advises that on 26 January 2007 it transferred 51,622 Ordinary Shares currently held in Treasury to satisfy the maturity of the Hays plc UK Sharesave Scheme. 51,622 shares were transferred at 109p.
Following this transfer, Hays plc holds 103,364,406 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of shares in issue is 1,460,732,160 (excluding treasury shares).
