Transfer of Treasury Shares

ARM Holdings plc ("the Company") announces that on 4th February 2009, the following ordinary shares were transferred from treasury stock for the purposes of employees' share option scheme allotments:

1250 ordinary shares at 58.65 pence per share

77,701 ordinary shares at 43.00 pence per share

30,660 ordinary shares at 47.00 pence per share

40,024 ordinary shares at 55.00 pence per share

30,875 ordinary shares at 70.00 pence per share

13,719 ordinary shares at 90.95 pence per share

Following the above transfers of treasury stock, the Company held 90,823,107 Ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) was 1,253,232,589.
