TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES
In accordance with the provisions of Listing Rule 12.6.4, the Board of Hays plc advises that on 4 July 2007 it transferred 51,989 Ordinary Shares currently held in Treasury to satisfy awards under the `Hays plc 1995 Executive Share Option Scheme' and the `Hays plc 1996 Company Share Option Plan'.
Following this transfer, Hays plc holds 116,572,198 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of shares in issue is 1,447,524,368 (excluding treasury shares).
