TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES
Amlin plc ("Amlin") announces that on 12 March 2009 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each ("ordinary shares"):
4,594 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 146.49 pence per share;2,500 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 161.77 pence per share; and16,959 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 293.00 pence per share
Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of 8,654,777 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 469,918,662 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
