Transfer of Treasury Shares

Spectris plc announces that on 15 November 2011, the following ordinary shares were transferred from treasury stock for the purposes of employee share option allotments under Spectris Performance Share Plan:

16,596 shares at 5 pence per share

Following the above transfer, the total number of Spectris plc ordinary shares in issue (excluding the total of 8,667,889 ordinary shares now held in treasury) is 116,337,234.
