8 May 2006 FirstGroup plc Transfer of shares held in treasury FirstGroup plc ("the Company") announces that on 8 May 2006 it transferred toparticipants in the Company's employee SAYE scheme, 14,349 ordinary shares at aprice of 192p per share. The shares were all formerly held as treasury shares.Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, the Company holds atotal of 6,525,853 of its ordinary shares in treasury. The total number ofordinary shares in issue excluding treasury shares is 392,225,468.ENDFIRSTGROUP PLC
