30 July 2007 FirstGroup plc Transfer of shares held in treasury
FirstGroup plc ("the Company") announces that on 30 July 2007 it transferred to participants in the Company's employee SAYE scheme 6,523 ordinary shares at a price of 232 pence per share. The shares were all formerly held as treasury shares.
Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, the Company holds a total of 3,272,378 of its ordinary shares in treasury. The total number of ordinary shares in issue excluding treasury shares is 435,006,420.
