Burberry Group PLC13 October 2005 BURBERRY GROUP PLC: Transaction in Own Shares Pursuant to the irrevocable, non-discretionary authority, given by BurberryGroup plc ('the Company') to its brokers on 30 September 2005, it is announcedthat on 13 October 2005 the Company purchased 572,054 of its ordinary shares of0.05p each ('Shares') for cancellation. Of these Shares, 200,000 were purchasedon-market from Merrill Lynch at a price of 376.01875 pence per Share and 372,054were purchased off-market directly from GUS Holdings Limited also at a price of376.01875 pence per Share in accordance with the Agreement dated 14th July 2005between the Company and GUS plc approved by the Company's shareholders on 14thJuly 2005.
