Chemring Group PLC (the "Company") - Transaction in Own Shares

The Company announces that on 29 October 2009 it purchased a total of 10,000 ordinary shares of 5p each on the London Stock Exchange via Investec Investment Banking. The price paid was 2585 pence per share.

The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following the above purchase, the Company holds a total of 273,131 ordinary shares as treasury shares and has a total of 35,312,701 ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held in Treasury).
