4 October 2006 GROUP 4 SECURICOR PLC Purchase of shares by Employee Benefit Trust The company was informed on 3 October 2006 that, on that date, the trustees ofthe Group 4 Securicor Employee Benefit Trust ("the Trust") purchased 500,000ordinary shares of Group 4 Securicor plc at 167.98p per share.Following the acquisition, 4,706,332 ordinary shares of Group 4 Securicor areheld by the Trust.The executive directors of the company and other persons within the companydischarging managerial responsibilities are within the class of potentialbeneficiaries under the Trust and are deemed to have a non-beneficial interestin these ordinary shares.
