Old Mutual PLC15 November 2007 Old Mutual plc Ref 81/0715 November 2007 Transaction in Own Shares Old Mutual plc ("the Company") announces that on 14 November 2007 it purchasedthrough Merrill Lynch International and Merrill Lynch South Africa (Pty) Limiteda total of 2,720,454 of the Company's ordinary shares of 10p each. 2,206,079 of these shares were acquired on the London Stock Exchange at anaverage price of 169.37 pence per share and 514,375 shares were acquired on theJSE Limited at an average price of ZAR 23.51 per share. The purchased shares will be held in treasury. The Company's current issuedshare capital is now 5,466,898,919 ordinary shares of 10p each (excluding the42,353,100 shares that have so far been repurchased into treasury).
