3i Group PLC26 July 2007 3i Group plc 26 July 2007 3i Group plc Purchase and cancellation of B Shares On 23 July 2007, 3i Group plc ("3i") announced that Dresdner KleinwortSecurities Limited and Lehman Brothers International (Europe) (together, the "Brokers") had agreed to purchase, acting as principals, 606,882,529 B Shares(the "Offer Shares") under the Brokers' Offer (as defined in 3i's circular toShareholders dated 14 June 2007 (the "Circular")). 3i has today completed its purchase of all the Offer Shares from the Brokers forthe same consideration as that paid by the Brokers (127p per Offer Share). 3iconfirms that all the Offer Shares have today been cancelled. Following the cancellation of the Offer Shares, 3i has 38,221,190 B Sharesremaining in issue.
