IMI PLC: Transaction in own shares

IMI PLC announces that on 29 October 2013 it purchased through J.P. Morgan Securities plc 120,000 ordinary shares of 25 pence each, at an average price of 1509.1997 pence per share. The highest and lowest prices paid for these shares were 1514 pence per share and 1505.25 pence per share respectively. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, IMI PLC holds 26,363,095 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) is 314,596,865.
