Enterprise Inns PLC17 January 2007 17 January 2007 Enterprise Inns plc - Transaction in Own Shares Enterprise Inns plc announces that it has today purchased for cancellation1,000,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 629.1345 pence perordinary share. The highest price paid was 636 pence per share and the lowest price paid was624.50 pence per share. Following the above purchase the total number of ordinary shares in issue andthe total voting rights (pursuant to transitional provision 6 of theTransparency Directive) in the Company (excluding shares held in treasury) is580,370,072. Of these 11,866,352 shares are held by Employee Trusts and arediscounted for earnings per share calculation purposes. In addition to the above 50,000,000 ordinary shares are held as treasury sharesand are also discounted for earnings per share calculation purposes.
