Imperial Tobacco has today, 17 April 2013, purchased 130,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 2268.56 pence per ordinary share. The highest price paid was 2285.0 pence per share and the lowest 2260.0 pence per share.

The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. Following the above purchase, Imperial Tobacco holds 91,468,132 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 976,474,749.
