TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES
Close Brothers Group plc (the 'Company') announces that on 12 October 2011 it transferred 6,854 ordinary shares of 25 pence each from treasury to participants in its employee share plans. The transfer price was £nil.
Following the transfer of these shares, the Company holds 4,445,475 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 146,114,993 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
