Enterprise Inns PLC12 July 2007 12 July 2007 Enterprise Inns plc - Transaction in Own Shares Enterprise Inns plc announces that it has today purchased for cancellation923,181 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 706.28 pence per ordinaryshare. The highest price paid was 710 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 700pence per share. Following the above purchase the total number of ordinary shares in issue andthe total voting rights in the Company (excluding shares held in treasury) is530,315,607. Of these 10,808,483 shares are held by Employee Trusts and arediscounted for earnings per share calculation purposes. In addition to the above 50,000,000 ordinary shares are held as treasury sharesand are also discounted for earnings per share calculation purposes.
