IMI PLC - Transaction in Own Shares

IMI PLC announces that on 13 March 2013 it purchased through Citigroup Global Markets Limited 70,000 ordinary shares of 25p each, at an average price of 1327.75 pence per share. The highest and lowest prices paid for these shares were 1336.00 pence per share and 1319.00 pence per share respectively. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, IMI PLC holds 19,277,200 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) is 321,401,575.
