Vesuvius PLC - Transactions in Own Shares

Vesuvius plc announces that on 27 June 2013 it purchased from J.P. Morgan Securities plc 126,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 362.0808 pence per share. The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. The shares were purchased pursuant to the Company's share buy-back programme announced on 27 March 2013 and in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 4 June 2013.

Following the above purchase, Vesuvius plc holds 2,586,000 ordinary shares in treasury, and has 275,899,071 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
