Imperial Tobacco has today, 13 March 2014, purchased 70,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 2456.89 pence per ordinary share. The highest price paid was 2480 pence per ordinary share and the lowest 2446 pence per ordinary share.

The purchased shares will all be held in treasury.

Following the above purchase, Imperial Tobacco holds 73,855,990 ordinary shares in treasury.

The total number of ordinary shares in issue, excluding ordinary shares held in treasury, is 962,144,010.
