Close Technology & General VCT PLC17 December 2007 CLOSE TECHNOLOGY & GENERAL VCT PLC SHARE PURCHASE, VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL Close Technology & General VCT PLC announces that it purchased 57,311 Ordinaryshares at a price of 101 pence per share on 17 December 2007. This represents0.12% of the total number of voting rights in the Company before thetransaction. These shares will be held in treasury. Following this transaction, and, in conformity with the Transparency Directive'stransitional provision 6 we would like to notify the market of the following; Close Technology & General VCT PLC's today consists of 13,591,015 Ordinaryshares and 35,479,122, both with a nominal value of 50p each, with votingrights. The Company holds 273,473 Ordinary shares in Treasury. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Close Technology & General VCTPLC is 48,796,664.
