Beazley Group PLC28 January 2008 Beazley Group PLC 28th January 2008 Transaction in own shares Beazley Group PLC ("the Company") announces that in accordance with paragraph12.4.6R of the Listing Rules and paragraph 5.5.1R of the Disclosure andTransparency Rules it has purchased 407,447 Ordinary Shares of 5p each at anaverage price of 156.72 pence per share. The highest price and lowest price paid for these shares were 158.00 pence and154.80 pence respectively. All the purchased shares will all be held as Treasuryshares. Following the above purchase, the Company holds 6,155,485 Ordinary Shares inTreasury. The number of Ordinary Shares purchased represents 1.68% of the votingrights attributable to the total Ordinary Shares in issue prior to suchpurchases. The Company has 360,793,096 Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasuryshares).
