Transaction in Own Shares

Central Asia Metals plc (AIM:CAML), announces that on 25 July 2012 it purchased 31,500 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 90.2276 pence per ordinary share. The highest price and the lowest price paid for these shares was 91 and 89.5 pence respectively. All the purchased shares will be held as Treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 417,498 ordinary shares as Treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue is 85,748,436 (excluding ordinary shares held as treasury shares).
