Transaction in Own Shares

RE-ISSUE OF TREASURY SHARES

CRH plc announces that on 16th June 2010 it transferred to participants in its employee share schemes 56,462 Ordinary Shares at prices between €11.8573 and €18.7463 per Ordinary Share and at prices between £11.1630 and £16.7806 per Ordinary Share.

Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 9,973,738 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is 707,820,773.
