Local Shopping REIT (The) PLC05 October 2007 The Local Shopping REIT PLC05 October 2007 The Local Shopping REIT PLC ("LSR")LSR - Transactions in Own Shares LSR (the "Company") announces that it has commenced a non-discretionaryprogramme to purchase up to £5m of ordinary shares during its close period whichcommences on 05 October 2007 and is scheduled to end on the date of theannouncement of the Company's preliminary results in early December 2007. Thepurchased shares will be held as treasury shares. The buy back programme will be managed by an independent third party, whichmakes its trading decisions independently of, and uninfluenced by, the Company. Any acquisitions will be effected within certain pre-set parameters, and inaccordance with both the Company's general authority to repurchase shares andChapter 12 of the Listing Rules which requires that the maximum price paid belimited to no more than 5 per cent above the average market value for the sharesas derived from the London Stock Exchange Daily Official List for the fivebusiness days immediately prior to such purchase. The Company confirms that it currently has no unpublished price sensitiveinformation.
