TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES

John Menzies PLC announces that, on 14 April 2011, it purchased through Numis Securities Limited 25,000 ordinary shares of 25p each at an average price of 540 pence per share. The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 1,143,943 ordinary shares in Treasury and has a total of 59,202,988 ordinary shares of 25p each (excluding shares held in Treasury) in issue. The number of ordinary shares purchased represented approximately 0.04% of the voting rights attributable to the total ordinary shares in issue prior to such purchases.
