Northgate PLC17 August 2007 Northgate Plc: Transaction in own shares The Company purchased for cancellation through Citigroup Global Markets Limitedon 17 August 2007 250,000 ordinary shares at a price of 1014.61 pence per share. Following the cancellation of these shares, the outstanding issued share capitalof the Company will be 70,999,947 ordinary shares. The Company holds no ordinaryshares as treasury shares. The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for thecalculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify theirinterest in, or a change to their interest in, Northgate PLC under the FSA'sDisclosure and Transparency Rules.
