Transaction in Own Shares

Hansteen (LSE: HSTN), the investor in UK and continental European real estate, announces that on 14 June 2016, the Company transferred from treasury to participants in the Company's Performance Share Plan 2012 ("the Plan") 102,959 Ordinary Shares in the Company for nil consideration in order to satisfy the exercise of nil-cost call rights by participants under the Plan.

Following the above purchase and transfer of treasury shares the Company now holds 1,430,614 Ordinary Shares in treasury and the total number of Ordinary Shares in the Company in issue excluding treasury shares is 744,297,293.
