Meggitt announces that today it has purchased for cancellation from Merrill Lynch International the following numbers of its ordinary shares of five pence each:

Highest price paid per share (pence):

Lowest price paid per share (pence):
| 504.5 |
Following settlement of the above purchase, the total number of ordinary shares in issue will be 780,054,144. Meggitt does not hold any shares in treasury.
