Transaction in own shares

The Company announces that it has purchased the following number of ordinary shares of 10p each ('Shares') on AIM through Macquarie Capital (Europe) Limited as part of its buyback programme announced on 19 August 2016:

The Shares purchased are being held in treasury. Following the purchase, Bowleven holds 192,948 Shares in treasury and its issued share capital (excluding treasury Shares) consists of 327,082,653 Shares with voting rights attached (one vote per share). Accordingly, the total voting rights in Bowleven is 327,082,653. This figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which to determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Bowleven under the Disclosure and Transparency Rules (the 'DTRs') of the Financial Conduct Authority.
