TRANSACTIONS IN OWN SECURITIES

Meggitt PLC ("Meggitt") announces today that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of five pence each on the London Stock Exchange from Morgan Stanley & Co. International PLC ("Morgan Stanley").

Ordinary Shares

Number of ordinary shares purchased: 150,918

Average Price paid per share (pence): 544.76

Highest price paid per share (pence): 553.00

Lowest price paid per share (pence): 540.00

These purchases are the first executed by Morgan Stanley for Meggitt and Morgan Stanley will continue to carry future orders until further notice.

Meggitt intends to cancel the purchased shares.

Following settlement of the above purchase, the total number of ordinary shares in issue will be 791,363,590. Meggitt does not hold any shares in treasury.
