Burren Energy PLC02 April 2007 Burren Energy plc Transaction in own shares Burren Energy plc announces that it has purchased the following number of itsordinary shares of 20p each on the London Stock Exchange via UBS InvestmentBank. Ordinary shares: Date of purchase: 30 March 2007 Number of ordinary shares purchased: 369,011 Highest price paid per share: 800p Lowest price paid per share: 796.50p Volume weighted average price paid per share: 799.04p Burren Energy plc intends to hold the purchased shares in treasury initially. Following the purchase of these shares, Burren Energy plc holds 410,036 of itsordinary shares in treasury and has 140,597,538 ordinary shares in issue(excluding treasury shares).
