Purchase of own shares

Compass Group PLC announces that on 8 December 2015 it purchased 40,000 ordinary shares of 10 5/8 pence each at a price of 1140.1421 pence per share through Barclays Capital Securities Limited.

Compass Group PLC intends to hold the purchased ordinary shares in treasury.

Following the above transaction, Compass Group PLC holds 11,854,866 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 1,644,922,516 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
