Purchase of own shares

Cranswick plc ("Cranswick" or the "Company") announces that on 23 September 2011, it purchased for treasury 22,000 ordinary shares of 10p each at a price of 614 pence per share. The highest and lowest price paid was 614 pence per share.

This represents 0.04 percent of the issued share capital of the Company.

In accordance with Disclosure and Transparency Rule 5.6.1, following this purchase, there are 22,000 shares held in treasury and the total number of voting rights in Cranswick is 47,720,687 ordinary shares of 1p each

The above figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Cranswick under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
