Old Mutual PLC03 December 2007 Old Mutual plc Ref 94/07 3 December 2007 Transaction in Own Shares Old Mutual plc ("the Company") announces that on 30 November 2007 it purchasedthrough Merrill Lynch International and Merrill Lynch South Africa (Pty) Limiteda total of 1,775,283 of the Company's ordinary shares of 10p each. 1,200,000 of these shares were acquired on the London Stock Exchange at anaverage price of 167.36 pence per share and 575,283 shares were acquired on theJSE Limited at an average price of ZAR 23.38 per share. The purchased shares will be held in treasury. The Company's current issuedshare capital is now 5,437,354,676 ordinary shares of 10p each (excluding the72,313,467 shares that have so far been repurchased into treasury).
