Transaction in own shares

Masawara plc announces that on the 2 July 2012 it purchased 400,000 ordinary shares of US$0.01 each in the Company at a price of 52.5 pence per ordinary share. The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following the purchase, the Company's issued ordinary share capital held by members shall consist of 123,065,409 shares.

The above figure of 123,065,409 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
