Enterprise Inns PLC08 August 2007 8 August 2007 Enterprise Inns plc - Transaction in Own Shares Enterprise Inns plc announces that it has today purchased for cancellation 200,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 631.90 pence per ordinaryshare. The highest price paid was 643 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 623pence per share. Following the above purchase the total number of ordinary shares in issue andthe total voting rights in the Company (excluding shares held in treasury) is519,515,607. Of these 10,776,223 shares are held by Employee Trusts and arediscounted for earnings per share calculation purposes. In addition to the above 50,000,000 ordinary shares are held as treasury sharesand are also discounted for earnings per share calculation purposes.
