Imperial Tobacco has today, 17 May 2013, purchased 150,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 2297.63 pence per ordinary share. The highest price paid was 2306.0 pence per share and the lowest 2275.0 pence per share.

The purchased shares will all be held as treasury shares. Following the above purchase, Imperial Tobacco holds 93,383,532 ordinary shares as treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding shares held as treasury shares) is 974,559,349.
