Diageo PLC11 April 2006 Diageo plc11 April 2006 Diageo plc ('the Company') announces that it has today purchased through GoldmanSachs International 85,000 ordinary shares at a price of 889.49 pence per share.The purchased shares will be held in treasury for the purpose of satisfyingoptions granted under the Company's employee share plans. Following the above purchase, the Company holds 216,318,111 ordinary shares astreasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding sharesheld as treasury shares) is 2,834,627,896.
