Go-Ahead Group PLC11 March 2005 11th March 2005 The Go-Ahead Group plc ("Go-Ahead" or the "Company") Transaction in Own Shares Go-Ahead announces that on 10 March 2005 it purchased 50,000 of its 10p ordinaryshares at 1490 pence per share through Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. All ofthese shares will be held as Treasury shares. This purchase equates toapproximately 0.097 per cent. of the Company's total issued share capital. Following the purchase of these shares, Go-Ahead holds 275,000 of its shares inTreasury and has 51,341,133 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasuryshares). The purchase was made by the Company pursuant to the authorisation granted atits Annual General Meeting on 27 October 2004 under Section 163 Companies Act1985.
