Enterprise Inns PLC22 January 2007 22 January 2007 Enterprise Inns plc - Transaction in Own Shares Enterprise Inns plc announces that it has today purchased for cancellation600,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 659.8049 pence perordinary share. The highest price paid was 665 pence per share and the lowestprice paid was 650pence per share. Following the above purchase the total number of ordinary shares in issue andthe total voting rights (pursuant to transitional provision 6 of theTransparency Directive) in the Company (excluding shares held in treasury) is578,570,072. Of theses 11,866,352 shares are held by Employee Trusts and arediscounted for earnings per share calculation purposes. In addition to the above 50,000,000 ordinary shares are held as treasury sharesand are also discounted for earnings per share calculation purposes.
