Transaction in own shares

Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia") announces that on 14 December 2011 it purchased 5,000 of its own ordinary shares of 5p each at an average price of 1358.46 pence per share. The purchased shares will be cancelled.

Following the above purchase of shares, Caledonia's issued share capital includes 57,969,551 ordinary shares of 5p each with voting rights.
