Purchase of Shares in Buyback Programme

The Company announces that it purchased 250,000 of its ordinary shares of 

1.5625 pence each on 21 May 2008, through Numis Securities Limited at a price 

of 217 pence per share. These shares will be cancelled and will reduce the number 

of shares in issue to 162,006,090.

Following the cancellation of such shares, the Company's issued share capital 

consists of 162,006,090 ordinary shares all with voting rights.
