CRH PLC17 January 2008 17th January 2008 SHARE REPURCHASE PROGRAMME CRH plc announces that on 16th January 2008, UBS Limited purchased, on behalf ofthe Company, 97,440 Ordinary Shares of €0.32 each in CRH plc at prices between€22.00 and €23.00 per Ordinary Share. The purchased shares will be held as Treasury Shares. CRH plc also announces that on 16th January 2008 it transferred to a participantof an employee share scheme 179 Ordinary Shares at €17.99 per Ordinary Share. Following the above transactions, CRH plc holds 689,560 Ordinary Shares inTreasury. The number of Ordinary Shares in issue (excluding Treasury Shares) is546,537,634.
